Location: Roy, UT; Colorado Springs, CO; Huntsville, AL; Manhattan Beach, CA. Relocation assistance may be available. Clearance Type: Secret. Travel: Yes, up to 25% of the time.

What You'll Get To Do

This position is a dual-hat role requiring functional management activities as well as technical responsibilities on the program. The Functional management component is expected to comprise approximately 20% of the time, and the Technical role approximately 80% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Assess staffing needs (current and projected) and collaborate with team leads to address them.
  • Support recruitment activities including creation of requisitions, conducting interviews, and approving offers.
  • Work with program leaders to establish personal, program, and functional goals; perform performance evaluations and merit adjustments for subordinates.
  • Provide subordinates with career development recommendations, mentoring, and discipline as necessary.
  • Generate training plans based on program and subordinate needs.
  • Technical duties include designing and developing software for data analytics, visualization, and AI-enabled data analysis; interface with requirements in a model based systems engineering environment; derive and allocate requirements into detailed design; design, develop and test displays, controls, functionality, and simulation software for data analysis; develop and maintain databases; collaborate with Systems and Quality Engineers to ensure software requirements are met and develop dashboards and other software solutions; perform software peer reviews, version control, automated tests, CI/CD in accordance with DevSecOps practices.

Qualifications

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant experience, or 10 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • US Citizenship with an active DoD Secret Clearance and investigation date within the last 6 years.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Program Access within a reasonable period.
  • 1 year of experience leading projects, driving performance against schedules, and interfacing with customers.
  • Experience developing semantic data ontologies.
  • Experience with statistics, including sampling techniques, survey design, and precision measures.
  • Experience with programming languages, statistical packages, and computer-based data systems.
  • Experience working with large datasets.

  • Ability to provide technical guidance on data design, collection, and statistical analysis.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for reports, presentations, and documentation.
  • Leadership skills to support management, peers, and customers in data science best practices.
  • Ability to work independently toward long-range goals and objectives.
  • Initiative in determining and pursuing effective courses of action.
  • Experience in developing and guiding advanced technological ideas into final products.

The standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This position may offer a competitive relocation package.

Salary and Equal Opportunity

Primary Level Salary Range: $135,100.00 - $224,000.00 . The salary range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers factors such as the scope of the role, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions when making offers. Eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses where applicable, with potential Long Term Incentives for certain roles.
