An established investment management platform is expanding its fund finance team due to the launch of multiple new non-traded fund products. This is a high-impact opportunity for a fund accounting or reporting professional with strong technical skills and a passion for continuous process improvement. This role offers direct exposure to SEC reporting, cross-functional collaboration, and team leadership. Base pay range

$110,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

Additional compensation types

Annual Bonus

Location: Chicago, IL | Hybrid Schedule (3 days in office)

Compensation: $120,000 – $130,000 base + 15% bonus

Experience Required: 4+ years

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements (Form 10-Q/K)
  • Manage internal and external reviews for SEC filings, investor reports, and proxy materials
  • Guide a team of accountants while coaching and developing talent
  • Support shareholder meetings, board reporting, and regulatory compliance
  • Oversee quarterly controls (SOX 404), audits, and coordination with external advisors
  • Interpret and document complex US GAAP and industry-specific accounting issues
  • Collaborate with departments across Treasury, Tax, Investor Relations, and Legal
  • Partner with third-party transfer agents and external service providers
  • Identify automation and process efficiency improvements

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in fund accounting or financial reporting
  • Background in public accounting (Big 4 or similar) is highly desired
  • Familiarity with GL and reporting systems
  • Proven experience managing or mentoring a team
  • Detail-oriented and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communicator and collaborator across departments
