Role Overview: A Healthy and Organic Food, Ingredients, Beverage and Flavors manufacturer is searching for a dynamic and results-driven Account Executive to join their team. With a strong background in the flavor industry, particularly in sweet and savory applications. This role will drive growth through strategic sales initiatives, key account management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans for assigned territory to meet growth objectives.
  • Cultivate and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the sweet and savory flavor sectors.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver customized flavor solutions.
  • Manage existing key accounts while acquiring new clients.
  • Accurately track and report sales performance using Salesforce.com.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's product portfolio and its applications.
  • Negotiate client contracts and agreements.
  • Prepare regular sales reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) for leadership.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics.
  • Partner with internal departments (Finance, Quality, Regulatory, R&D, Applications) to meet client needs and improve service delivery.
  • Lead the development of innovative product concepts for client presentation.
  • Promote company services and programs across assigned territories.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience selling sweet and savory flavors.
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, Food Science or related field to support technical and value-based sales capacity.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Flavor industry, flavor profiles and trends.
  • Proven sales experience with brand owners, formulators and third-party manufacturers in Food & Beverage, Food Service, Nutraceutical and Functional Foods end-use markets.
  • Proven track record of driving growth in the food and beverage industry.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of time to trade shows, corp HQ, events.
