Labor & Delivery RN Job Details Job Title: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse - Travel RN Location: Crescent City, California 95531 (Northern California nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting: Community Hospital, Obstetrics Unit Assignment Start Date: September 29, 2025 Assignment End Date: December 29, 2025 Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:00) Total Hours per Week: 36 Patient Ratio: 3:1 Orientation: 40 hours Estimated Weekly Salary: $2400-$2570 Labor & Delivery RN Qualifications Active California Registered Nurse license (required at submission) Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience Certifications required: BLS (AHA), NRP, FHM, AWHONN Intermediate & Advanced (all current at submission) Nursery experience required Epic electronic health record (EHR) experience preferred Ability to complete lab work within 3-5 days of signing Background information must be disclosed prior to submission Return staff must have a 1-year gap before returning as a traveler Completion of orientation modules (average 1-5 hours) Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns in a Level I Nursery Assist with high-risk deliveries, cesarean sections, and postpartum recovery Perform newborn assessments, APGAR scoring, and stabilization for transport Administer medications including magnesium sulfate, antihypertensives, and anticonvulsants Utilize fetal monitoring equipment, phototherapy, and infant warmers Support breastfeeding and provide discharge teaching to parents Float and provide clinical support as needed based on patient census Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services Experience the best of California nursing jobs with this travel RN opportunity in Crescent City.
