ER RN Job Details - Kent, WA Location: Kent, WA 98042 - Prime location for Washington nursing jobs with easy access to Seattle Facility: 58-bed community hospital featuring 19 dedicated Emergency Department rooms Assignment Length: 17 weeks (Start: 09/22/2025 - End: 01/17/2026) Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (locum tenens) Shifts: 12-hour rotating shifts (Days, Mids, Evenings, Nights, or Variable) Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,880 - $2,020 Scrub Color: Royal or Navy Blue (black pants optional) Emergency Room RN Qualifications Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Compact RN license or Washington state RN license) Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience (first-time travel nurses considered with 4+ years ED experience) Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, MOAB/CPI, NIHSS, NRP, PALS (ENPC not accepted) Strong clinical skills: cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV insertion, medication administration, conscious sedation, blood transfusion, cardiac medication management, code blue response, chest tube management, central line setup (A-lines, CVP), ventilator management, and stabilization of high-acuity patients Experience with Epic electronic health records, Alaris pumps, Pyxis medication system, and telemetry monitoring Key Responsibilities for ER Registered Nurse Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages, including trauma, sepsis, STEMI, stroke, DKA, respiratory and cardiac emergencies, neurological conditions, and mental health cases Stabilize and prepare critically ill patients for transfer to higher-level care facilities Participate in mock drills and ongoing education for emergency deliveries and mother/baby stabilization Float as needed to other units or affiliated healthcare facilities within the system Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Ready to take your ER nursing skills to the next level in a top Washington healthcare job?
