The role reports to the Head of School and has no direct reports. Responsibilities
Teach and conduct research in transport engineering, focusing on emergent technologies and innovative teaching methods. Contribute to the development of the discipline through high-quality curriculum design and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels. Engage in research with high quality and high impact, and demonstrate capacity for research leadership. Collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships within the School and with industry partners. Support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and contribute to equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives. Adhere to UNSW’s aims, objectives, values, policies and health and safety requirements. Qualifications
A PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience. Commitment to staying up to date with discipline knowledge and developments. Experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. Experience with educational technologies and online delivery methods. Evidence of teaching effectiveness and curriculum design experience at various levels and scales. Knowledge of industry or work-integrated learning (desirable). Strong communication and networking skills; ability to interact with a diverse range of students and staff. Ability to work in a team and collaborate across disciplines. Demonstrated interpersonal and organizational skills. Understanding of UNSW’s aims, objectives and values and relevant policies. Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and willingness to undertake health and safety training.
