Be among the first 25 applicants. Myticas direct client is seeking a Business Systems Analyst with QA experience for Waukegan, IL (Hybrid - 3 days onsite).
Duration: 5 months (with a possibility of extension).
Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements and functional specifications.
Analyze existing business processes, identify areas for improvement, and evaluate potential solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Assist in the design and implementation of software solutions that meet business needs and integrate with existing systems where necessary.
Develop test plans and coordinate testing efforts to ensure solutions meet business requirements and provide a high level of quality.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including process flows, business rules, and user guides.
Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure timely delivery of project milestones and resolution of any issues that may arise.
Serve as a liaison between the IT department and business units by communicating project status, changes, and potential impacts to stakeholders.
Perform manual testing of software applications to ensure they meet user requirements.
Experience across functional testing, system integration testing, regression testing, and UAT.
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments on multiple projects.
Develop test plans, strategies, and test scenarios; create, execute, and maintain test cases and test scripts.
Collaborate with the development team to address and resolve identified issues in a timely manner.
Expertise in using JIRA for writing test cases and tracking defects.
Communicate effectively—verbal and written.
Qualifications
Business Systems Analyst with QA experience and strong documentation skills.
Proven experience in gathering requirements, writing user stories, and aligning IT solutions with business needs.
Proficiency with test planning, execution, and defect tracking (JIRA or similar tools).
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
