The Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr. MSL) provides fair, balanced, objective scientific information and education to opinion leaders, health care professionals, and internal partners. The Sr. MSL is an established scientific and clinical lead on current and future J&J Innovative Medicine products within the Therapeutic Area alignment. The role requires staying abreast of current scientific and treatment landscape trends, supporting research initiatives, and maintaining high integrity and credo values. This field-based position requires travel, primarily within the assigned geography, with travel estimated at 80%. Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a field strategic plan for the territory. Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries from HCPs, investigators, health care systems, and decision makers, integrating scientific data including real-world evidence into practice. Present data and information in a manner appropriate to the audience and request. Execute reactive and proactive outreaches as approved through the legal/HCC exceptions process. Integrate scientific data into real-life practice and adapt interpersonal style to different situations and people. Anticipate responses of various individuals and teams and prioritize franchise customer-based initiatives while balancing administrative duties. Lead external relationships with identified opinion leaders and healthcare providers; develop and manage a geographical territory. Lead Research Initiatives

Facilitate external-internal research communication using knowledge of standards of care and trial landscapes; engage external investigators for unsolicited inquiries; liaise with R&D, Medical Affairs, and operations. Provide clinical trial support to identify sites, resolve issues, and participate in site initiation visits and investigator launches. Lead at least one scientific or strategic Immunology project and identify educational gaps to elevate team knowledge. Scientific Acumen and Engagement

Participate in team calls, trainings, and journal clubs; attend conferences to gather new scientific information relevant to the company and community. Document and share medical insights; synthesize data for MSL teams and partners; pursue self-driven learning on current scientific landscape. Represent and support J&J at key stakeholder meetings, congresses, symposia, advisory boards and investigator meetings, including speaking engagements. Operational Excellence

Perform administrative requirements timely, accurately, and in compliance (expenses, activity documentation). Provide regional and local support to enhance sales training and field competencies; collaborate with field partners and other Immunology MSL teams. Partner with others to lead or participate in large-scale projects; maintain competence in regulatory and healthcare compliance guidelines and Medical Affairs SOPs. Travel up to 75-80% with overnight travel and some weekend commitments; reside within the defined territory. Qualifications

PharmD, PhD, MD, or other advanced medical degree; NP/PA with +3 years relevant TA clinical experience. 3+ years of MSL experience or equivalent clinical/research/pharma experience. Significant experience giving presentations. Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to travel 75-80%; reside within the territory. Preferred

Knowledge or experience in Immunology or the relevant Therapeutic Area. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; comfortable with remote technologies. Residence near Cincinnati or Columbus, OH. The expected base pay range is $137,000 to $235,750. This position is eligible for a company car through the Fleet program and a performance-based annual bonus.
