Overview

Head, FCC Risk Assessment, Analysis and Reporting, Americas — The purpose of this role is to design, implement and deliver the FCC Risk Assessment framework for the Americas region. The framework embeds within the Conduct, Financial Crime, and Compliance Risk (CFCR) function to help management oversee and improve the control environment, and to meet regulatory and industry expectations. The US Risk Assessment framework may supplement or supersede the Global Financial Crime Risk Assessment where applicable. This role also involves continuous assessment of issues raised within the FCC Principal Risk Type that may introduce risk.

Design, implement and deliver the FCC Risk Assessment framework for the Americas region, including quantitative risk-based calculations.

Establish governance and processes to align the US Risk Assessment with the Global Risk Assessment framework and industry/regulatory expectations.

Analyze and summarize reporting from the methodology and drive action planning, remediation and monitoring.

Ensure the framework is embedded within CFCR and supports management in overseeing the control environment.

Develop the annual US BSA/AML and Sanctions Risk Assessment process in support of the Global Risk Assessment; support Group risk assessments across the Americas where applicable.

Develop SC US methodology for risk assessments, including quantitative risk-based calculations.

Key Responsibilities Operate and deliver FCC risk assessments (AML, Sanctions, ABC, etc.) for the Americas per the SC FCC Global Risk Assessment Methodology.

Assess residual risk of entities in scope and corresponding control weaknesses.

Collaborate with bank colleagues to enhance risk awareness and proactive risk identification.

Create executive-level analytics and metrics to provide visibility of the control environment and identify emerging risks.

People & Talent Lead and develop a high-performing team through communication, performance management and development plans.

Promote diversity and reflect SCB core values.

Risk Management Understand the risk and control environment in area of responsibility.

Continuously review data to highlight themes and insights related to FCC risks.

Work with data/MI teams to ensure appropriate metrics capture risks.

Draft commentary on metrics for forums and MLRO reporting.

Governance Understand regulatory framework and requirements relevant to the role.

Deliver effective governance and engage with regulators as needed.

Skills and Experience Experience executing Compliance Governance, Frameworks and Models.

Knowledge of risk assessment requirements and BSA/AML, Sanctions and ABC across jurisdictions.

Experience in US financial crime risk assessment and cross-border risk and control.

Recruitment Assessments

Expected annual base pay range for the role is 225,000 USD to 350,000 USD. Final offer is determined based on experience, skills, internal relativity and location. Base pay is part of total compensation, with discretionary variable pay and bank-sponsored benefits available.
