Overview Prime Air is seeking an experienced Engineer within the Product Support Organization team to drive deployment of hardware and software functionality, investigate issues, and design ground support equipment to drive delivery on a critical program across several different disciplines. This role requires demonstrated troubleshooting capabilities, and ability to innovate in a constrained design space. Excellent communication skills are a must to build trust and drive alignment across both design and operations spaces. You will work with engineering, manufacturing, and operational functions across all Prime Air teams, to drive efficient delivery, and decompose ambiguous problems into straightforward solutions. The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer focus, problem solving skills, regulatory understanding, and the ability to convert lessons learned to requirement update requests.

Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

Responsibilities

Drive deployment of hardware and software functionality within Prime Air projects

Investigate issues and provide effective resolutions across multiple disciplines

Design and specify ground support equipment to enable delivery operations

Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to decompose problems into actionable solutions

Communicate clearly with stakeholders to build trust and ensure alignment

Translate lessons learned into requirement updates and process improvements

Basic Qualifications

Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production

Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures

Experience in component selection and understanding of component reliability

Experience with prototyping and implementation

Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volume

Experience with troubleshooting and trend analysis

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with the project management of technical projects

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
