Director of Banquets . This pivotal leadership role will oversee all banquet operations for the property’s expansive event spaces, including weddings, social galas, corporate meetings, and VIP activations. The Director of Banquets will ensure that every detail—from menu execution to service delivery—reflects Forbes Five-Star standards and the resort’s reputation for world-class hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all banquet operations across ballrooms, meeting spaces, and outdoor venues.
Partner with the culinary and catering sales teams to deliver
seamless, high-impact events
that exceed guest expectations.
Develop and enforce
service standards, SOPs, and Forbes-level training programs
to ensure flawless execution.
Manage and mentor a large team of banquet managers, captains, and servers, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and excellence.
Collaborate with sales, culinary, and event planning teams to execute creative concepts tailored to both social and corporate clients.
Oversee departmental budgets, labor costs, forecasting, and P&L accountability, ensuring profitability without compromising service quality.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations while maintaining luxury service delivery.
Drive innovation in banquet experiences, from curated wine dinners to large-scale celebrations, aligning with the resort’s brand identity.
Qualifications
Minimum
7–10 years of progressive banquet leadership
experience, with at least 3 years at the director level in a luxury resort or Forbes Five-Star environment.
Proven expertise in overseeing
high-volume, multi-venue banquets and large-scale events .
Strong background in
team training, service standards, and guest engagement .
Demonstrated financial acumen in
budgeting, labor control, and revenue growth .
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; adept at working cross-functionally with culinary, catering, and executive teams.
