Head of Finance, North America at SlaterConsult. Our client, a global leader in sustainable energy solutions, is seeking an experienced finance leader to oversee financial operations and support the energy transition. Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all financial operations in North America, including its subsidiaries. Ensure tax compliance and optimize tax strategies across federal and state jurisdictions. Maintain robust internal controls, accounting policies and procedures aligned with US GAAP and IFRS. Provide financial insights and business case analysis to support strategic decisions, cost controls, CAPEX planning and business development initiatives. Act as the primary liaison with external auditors, accountants and legal advisors. Lead the consolidation of US legal entities. Manage treasury functions, including daily cash operations and forecasting. Oversee legal and administrative responsibilities such as HR, labor and commercial contracts, leases and insurance. Drive timely and accurate financial planning, budgeting, reporting and fast-close monthly processes. Maintain strong business partnerships, driving strategic execution and project delivery. Partner with IT to ensure systems and tools (ERP, reporting platforms) are optimized for finance operations. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required; a Master’s degree is an advantage. 7+ years of leadership experience. Experience with audits, including tax audits. Collaborative leadership style with a hands-on and proactive mindset. Audit/Auditor experience including tax audits is a plus. Analytical and detail-oriented, combined with strategic capabilities. International finance experience. Advanced user of ERP systems (D365FO) and Microsoft Office. Location:
