Are you a forward-thinking finance leader with a passion for global impact? Our client, a global leader in sustainable energy solutions, is looking for an experienced and driven Head of Finance, North America, to lead their financial operations and help power the energy transition.
In this key position, the Head of Finance will be responsible for overseeing all financial, accounting, human resources and compliance functions across North America and its subsidiaries, reporting to the parent company. The role requires close collaboration with executive leadership to support strategic growth initiatives, ensure operational excellence and uphold the highest standards of financial integrity.
We are seeking a candidate with a solid foundation in auditing, proven international experience and a hands-on leadership approach—ideally gained within the manufacturing or energy sectors.
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the optimization, automation and streamlining of financial and production processes, supporting a more efficient, scalable and cost-effective organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all financial operations in our North America operations including its subsidiaries.
- Ensure full tax compliance and optimize tax strategies across federal and state jurisdictions.
- Maintain robust internal controls, accounting policies and procedures aligned with US GAAP and IFRS.
- Provide financial insights and business case analysis to support strategic decisions, cost controls, CAPEX planning and business development initiatives.
- Act as the primary liaison with external auditors, accountants and legal advisors
- Lead the consolidation of US legal entities.
- Manage treasury functions, including daily cash operations and forecasting.
- Oversee legal and administrative responsibilities such as HR, labor and commercial contracts, leases and insurance.
- Drive timely and accurate financial planning, budgeting, reporting and fast-close monthly processes.
- Maintain strong business partnerships, driving strategic execution and project delivery.
- Partner with IT to ensure systems and tools (ERP, reporting platforms) are optimized for finance operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
- 7+ years of leadership experience.
- Experience with audits, including tax audits.
- Collaborative leadership style with a hands-on and proactive mindset.
- Audit/Auditor experience incl. tax audits a plus.
- Analytical and detail-oriented, combined with strategic capabilities.
- International finance experience.
- Advanced user of ERP systems (D365FO) and Microsoft Office.
