This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual short-term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria. Join Our Team as a Team Lead! Are you passionate about logistics leadership? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our logistics function. As a Team Leader in Logistics, you’ll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Supervisor, the Team Leader is responsible for providing hands-on leadership to the production line while ensuring production needs and quality standards are maintained. Provide guidance and support for day-to-day activities, including training, coaching, and guiding Team Members within the specified area of responsibility. Lead by example and foster an environment of mutual respect and teamwork among Team Members. Key Responsibilities
In conjunction with the Supervisor, may conduct pre-shift huddles, provide feedback for Team Members on daily requirements, and communicate daily/weekly goals Schedule daily tasks for their team, including daily warm-up exercises, tool calibration checks, TPM verification, written NMRs, safety observations, etc. Lead, coach, mentor, and train Team Members to meet department goals Provide support to the Supervisor by assisting with schedule adherence and following up with Team Members as needed Investigate and resolve day-to-day issues pertaining to the flow of S&C products and materials Provide on-the-job new hire orientation/training to ensure knowledge to perform their roles Participate in Team Member evaluations within their team, including Job Instruction and quality audits Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing S&C standards Understand and maintain the 5S methodology for organizing, cleaning, developing, and sustaining a productive work environment Daily updating of the product line KPI boards for daily Gemba Talks May be required to perform general labor duties when needed to meet production needs What You’ll Need To Succeed
High School diploma 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment Good communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers Excellent leadership skills with proven track record of successfully coaching and mentoring others Demonstrated organization and problem-solving skills Ability to work as a team player as well as independently Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment Ability to lift up to 50lbs Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous improvement manufacturing principles considered an asset Ability to follow a safety-first philosophy Equal Opportunity
