The Accounting Manager is a pivotal role within the U.S. general ledger team, providing leadership to ensure accurate accounting for U.S. reporting entities, overseeing monthly general ledger close, consolidation, and balance sheet integrity. This position leads continuous process improvement, collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, and contributes to strategic decision-making. The role reports to the Sr. Manager of Accounting for the division and offers a hybrid work arrangement. Compensation
Base pay range: $130,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Salary reflects the range provided by Creative Financial Staffing (CFS). Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Responsibilities
Drive U.S. general ledger accounting and consolidation. Manage month and quarter-end closing schedules. Oversee balance sheet and operating expense analysis. Lead the preparation of journal entries and reconciliations. Collaborate on non-standard transactions and research accounting topics. Ensure compliance with SOX 404 requirements. Identify and drive process improvements. Assist with system change requirements and testing. Handle confidential matters related to accounting and reporting. Ensure U.S. GAAP compliance and recruit, hire, and develop teammates. Assist with acquisition-related procedures and integration efforts. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting; Master's or equivalent preferred. CPA required; Public accounting (Big 4) firm experience required. 5+ years in public company accounting functions; 2+ years in a manager or supervisor role. U.S. GAAP general ledger close process expertise. Leadership, strategic focus, and team development skills. Passion for process and system improvement. Deep ERP and financial close systems experience; SAP and BPC skills a plus. Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to analyze data, collaborate cross-functionally, and manage multiple tasks. Job function: Accounting/Auditing and Finance. Industry: Accounting.
