OCI Compute - Principal TPM - NPI - Seattle, WA
Job Description: The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Compute team is seeking a passionate, experienced Principal Technical Program Manager to tackle complex business and technical challenges in a fast-paced environment. As OCI scales to meet the demands of an ever-growing customer base and regions, we need program managers who can drive large-scale initiatives to ensure OCI provides an outstanding customer experience while continuously improving development processes. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, can distill abstract ideas into concrete solutions, and has a proven track record of delivering large-scale features and process improvements across a highly complex environment with multiple organizations, departments and teams. Career Level : IC4 Location : Seattle, WA - in-office 3 days a week
Responsibilities
Lead programs focused on new product introductions, service certifications, capacity delivery, initial customer onboarding, and complex cross-organizational programs that impact both product and business for OCI.
Define program strategies, identify technical impacts related to business requirements, drive delivery, communicate project status, and optimize resource use. Present progress in executive meetings and share information with stakeholders.
Manage high-visibility programs with regular communications up to the VP/SVP level of OCI.
Plan and execute cross-functional initiatives, partnering with service teams to scope, define success metrics, and establish timelines.
Provide technical leadership without direct line management of cross-functional teams.
Develop PMO deliverables (SOWs, Project Charters, Schedules, Resource plans) and create communication plans for stakeholder engagement.
Plan deliverables including hardware, resources, and hours; manage project from implementation to closure.
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of relevant experience in program and project management in a hardware New Product Introduction capacity, ideally in GPU and CPU space.
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering.
Ability to represent engineering perspectives to partner organizations, product teams, and executive leadership.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with experience interacting with business and Development/Engineering staff at all levels, including executives.
Strong analytical, planning, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage competing demands.
Ability to understand business needs and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence, analytical and leadership skills.
Experience with supply chain or vendor management for Data Centers.
Self-driven problem solver; thrives in dynamic, ambiguous environments.
Highly analytical, technically proficient, and quick to learn new tools.
Effective communication across different levels in the organization.
Experience with agile software development practices and related tooling.
Knowledge of PowerPoint, Jira, and Confluence; Primavera or similar PM tools.
Proficiency in Excel (PivotTables, lookups, if-statements, macros).
