Lummus Technology is looking for a temporary HR Business Partner to join our dynamic HR team at our office in Bloomfield, NJ. This position will provide day-to-day operational support to the Human Resources department and will work closely with managers, employees, new hires, and candidates to deliver first-class employee experience.

Responsibilities

Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including overseeing the completion of pre-employment activities and conducting all onboarding tasks.

Administer employee leaves of absence, including providing guidance to managers and employees ensuring compliance with FMLA.

Utilize HR systems to input employee and organizational changes and to run regular reports.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, policies, and documentation.

Assist with college recruiting efforts by scheduling information sessions with colleges and act as point of contact for HR for schools and candidates.

Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees regarding policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.

Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews.

Perform periodic audits of HR records to ensure that all required documents are collected appropriately.

Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties.

Assist with employee immigration matters.

Service Awards invoicing for Benefits and HR.

Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.

Minimum 2 years of experience in a Human Resources or recruiting role.

Prior HR Systems experience (Workday, PeopleSoft or other HRIS systems).

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, discretion, and diplomacy.

Demonstrates proactive ownership of projects and follows through from concept to execution on assigned tasks.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Strong Excel reporting skills – formulas, pivot tables, vlookups, etc.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
