Insight Global is seeking a 6-12 month contract to hire Billing Solutions Architect with a strong background in the telecom industry. The role is on-site 4 days a week with 1 day remote, in either Saint Louis, MO or Charlotte, NC. The pay rate is $60.00/hr - $62.00/hr. The role focuses on design and integration of billing systems using Amdocs platforms. Term: 6-12 month contract to hire. Location: Saint Louis, MO or Charlotte, NC. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Mobile IT, product, and operations to design and integrate telecom billing systems using Amdocs platforms. Split time evenly between solutioning/design (50%) and participating in grooming calls (50%). Key Responsibilities
Design and architect billing solutions using Amdocs Freestyle Billing, Charging, and related platforms. Define and manage billing parameters such as pricing rules, usage thresholds, billing cycles, discounts, and tax logic. Establish and maintain work rules that govern how billing events are processed, rated, and invoiced. Collaborate with Mobile IT and other cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable billing solutions. Participate in grooming calls to refine backlog items, clarify requirements, and ensure readiness for development (approximately 20–30 calls per week). Support integration across BSS/OSS systems, CRM, provisioning, and payment platforms using APIs and middleware. Ensure billing systems are compliant, secure, and aligned with telecom standards (e.g., TM Forum Open APIs). Troubleshoot and optimize billing flows to improve accuracy, scalability, and customer experience. Must-haves
3-7 years of professional experience as a Billing Solutions Architect in the telecom industry. Experience setting and managing parameters like pricing rules, usage limits, billing cycles, discounts, and tax configurations. Experience defining and enforcing work rules for charges, invoices, and exception handling. Experience ensuring systems like Amdocs can support different billing models (subscriptions, usage-based charges, promotions). Experience with APIs to enable system communication and data exchange. Ability to connect billing platforms (e.g., Amdocs) with other systems such as CRM, ordering, provisioning, and payment gateways; exchange data like customer usage, plan details, and invoice information.
