Overview
Top-Ranked Regional law firm in the South is seeking an Employment Law Associate Attorney with experience in Employment, Insurance, or Construction Defense. Located in Charlotte, with multiple offices across the South. Prioritizes employee-focused culture and client service. This role is full-time and located in Charlotte, NC.
Base pay range $110,000.00/yr - $145,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Represent clients in legal proceedings related to employment law, workers’ compensation, and defense.
Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, contracts, and other documents related to employment law.
Conduct legal research and analysis to advise clients on rights and obligations.
Develop and implement effective legal strategies to resolve disputes and achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in disputes related to employment law and workers’ compensation.
Stay updated with changes in employment law and workers’ compensation.
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure high-quality client service.
Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and depositions as required.
Qualifications
Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
Minimum 1+ year of experience in employment law, workers’ compensation, and defense.
Proven track record of representing clients in related proceedings.
Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Strong research and report writing skills.
Proficiency with legal research software and related tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
High level of professional ethics and integrity.
