As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—all from the comfort of your home. Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one online HESI tutoring to individual students through the Varsity Tutors platform. Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like; work remotely using our Live Learning Platform (no commuting required). Be matched with students whose needs align with your teaching style and expertise. Utilize available tools to enhance sessions (e.g., real-time instructional support and engagement features). Compensation and Scheduling
Base contract rates start at $18/hour and can increase for specialized subjects, with potential to reach up to $40/hour for repeated sessions with the same student. Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice. Set your own schedule and tutor as much as you’d like. What We Look For In a Tutor
Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style. Expertise in HESI and the ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Prior tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education are highly valued. Ways To Connect With Students
