As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home.

Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects. You’ll earn incrementally higher pay for each session with the same student, potentially reaching up to $40/hour. Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice. What You’ll Do
Tutor online with students using Varsity Tutors platform; set your own schedule and tutor as much as you’d like. Deliver personalized instruction in HESI concepts and help students achieve their learning goals. Utilize the Live Learning Platform features to conduct sessions remotely (no commuting required). Match with students best-suited to your teaching style and expertise. Leverage the AI-powered Tutor Copilot for real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to save prep time and focus on teaching. Invoicing is handled by you; payments are processed by Varsity Tutors. What We Look For In a Tutor
Strong communication skills and an engaging teaching style. Expertise in HESI and the ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Preference given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education. Ways To Connect With Students
1-on-1 Online Tutoring – Provide personalized instruction to individual students. Instant Tutoring – Accept on-demand tutoring requests when available.
