Functional / Solution Management Specialist

to support the Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program. The specialist will provide field-facing support to drive critical path success, mitigate site-level issues, and lead pre-deployment analyses and assessments in coordination with EHRM IO workstreams.
Responsibilities
Manage workplans, data analytics, and task execution.
Serve as the primary point of contact for functional workflow configuration projects.
Align stakeholders across clinical, technical, and executive groups; liaise with external partners.
Apply project management methodologies to ensure delivery, resolve risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
Travel: up to 70% (remote position).
Qualifications
5+ years of professional work experience.
Ability to work independently designing and developing new software products or major enhancements within a healthcare/clinical environment.
Highest-level technical expert addressing issues of systems integration, compatibility, healthcare semantics, informatics, and cross-platform functionality.
Responsible for project completion and delivery.
Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects and communicates recommendations to management.
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare IT, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field (additional 10 years of relevant experience may substitute for degree).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the VA
Experience implementing Electronic Health Records
Eligibility
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust clearance for this role
Compensation Salary range: $140,000 - $155,000. Compensation is determined by location, experience, and organizational requirements.
