The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes related to employee benefits and research and development, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations, as well as fluctuation analyses. Responsibilities
Support monthly close and internal reporting process by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations for paid as well as accrued employee benefits and research and development Assist in ensuring that financial statements are in compliance with US GAAP Analyze monthly and quarterly fluctuations in employee benefit expenses and balance sheet accounts Assist with completion of internal controls associated with areas of responsibility Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes Provide support to General Accounting group with operational analysis as related to recurring transactions and the monthly account reconciliation process Provide support for accounting for new business initiatives Assist with various projects and accounting matters and drive value within the business Performs other duties as required Education and experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, MSA / MBA a plus 3-4 years of public accounting and / or corporate experience at SEC registered entities Preferred skills and competencies
Proficiency with ERP systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics AX, SAP, MS Windows and MS Office Software, especially Excel Excellent communication and analytical skills Deadline oriented with attention to detail Excellent organizational skills Ability to handle multiple projects Team player and collaborative Experience with SAP a plus Seniority level
