Cargo Operations Specialist , dedicated to ensuring the safe and efficient handling of air cargo. In this essential role, you will build aircraft pallets, prepare shipping documentation, and utilize material handling equipment to load and offload cargo for air transport operations. If you possess a strong understanding of air cargo processes, safety protocols, and documentation requirements, we want to hear from you! Primary Responsibilities : Construct and configure aircraft pallets for transport, ensuring all materials are secured, balanced, and compliant with loading guidelines. Prepare and maintain precise chain-of-custody documentation, including shipping manifests and hazardous material declarations. Load and offload cargo from aircraft using various material handling equipment, such as forklifts and k-loaders. Transport goods between warehouse storage and staging areas efficiently. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, security, and transportation regulations. Inspect cargo for proper labeling, packaging, and load distribution to prevent issues during transport. Collaborate with warehouse personnel, flight crews, and logistics teams for timely and accurate cargo movements. Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of cargo handling equipment and workspaces. Basic Qualifications Must possess TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance. High school diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or integrated product support (IPS) operations. Familiarity with system fault analysis and standard logistics practices. Working knowledge of inventory management, order fulfillment, and transportation operations. Ability to utilize logistics systems to track material movement and inventory levels effectively. Strong problem-solving skills aimed at resolving logistics-related challenges. Excellent communication skills for effective team coordination and stakeholder engagement. Basic understanding of safety assurance practices in logistics environments. Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree or applicable technical certification in logistics or supply chain management. Experience in IPS within a defense or aerospace context. Knowledge of logistics planning and transportation coordination. Proficiency in logistics or ERP systems like SAP or Oracle. Experience in process improvement initiatives in logistics operations. Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) supply systems or military logistics practices. Certification such as Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM). Capability to work independently on tasks with minimal supervision.
