Automation Engineer
to join a growing engineering team in Dallas. This role will play a key part in designing, implementing, and supporting automation solutions across industrial and renewable energy systems, with a strong focus on
IT/OT integration
and
SCADA platforms .

Responsibilities
Design, configure, and maintain automation systems to support industrial and renewable (solar and wind) operations.
Develop and optimize
SCADA systems , ensuring high availability and performance across solar and wind assets.
Integrate
IT/OT technologies , bridging operational technology with enterprise-level IT systems.
Support system upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with safety and cybersecurity standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, electrical, and software engineering.
Prepare technical documentation, project reports, and provide training to end-users.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
5+ years' experience in automation engineering roles, ideally within
renewable energy (solar and wind projects) .
Strong background in
SCADA configuration and support
(Wonderware, Ignition, or similar).
Hands-on experience with
IT/OT convergence
projects.
Knowledge of PLC programming, industrial networks, and control system architecture.
Familiarity with industry standards for safety and cybersecurity in automation environments.
Preferred
Direct project experience with
solar PV plants and wind farm control systems .
Knowledge of data historians and industrial IoT solutions.
Experience in energy, utilities, or large-scale industrial facilities.
