We are seeking a self-directed, growth-oriented
Business Development Executive
to lead the expansion of our healthcare market and identify strategic growth into new market segments. This pivotal role reports directly to the CEO, offering a unique opportunity to work closely with leadership and influence the strategic direction while leveraging the strength of our reputation and deep expertise in the healthcare market sectorboth in the Colorado Front Range and nationally. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, entrepreneurial professional who thrives on building relationships and driving meaningful growth. Youll be instrumental in shaping our future, identifying high-value opportunities, and helping us grow with intention and impact. Responsibilities
Deliver compelling presentations to introduce Design Studio Blues capabilities and value proposition, enhancing brand recognition and market presence to win business. Deliver all business development activities, ensuring a robust pipeline of opportunities through effective prospecting, industry professional networking, and meaningful client engagement. Represent Design Studio Blue at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities. Develop a business development strategy and plan with CEO that acknowledges key current clients and portfolio as well as target new clients and markets Document and quantify results of business development activities, e.g., number of leads, number of new connections in targeted market sectors, and number of new projects Collaborate with leadership to create comprehensive project proposals Required Skills/Abilities
Ability to work well with others under deadline situations Very detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible Possess strong business acumen A senior-level position, highly visible to clients and employees, that requires maturity, assertiveness, integrity, industry knowledge, and the ability to lead, influence and persuade A self-motivated, goal-oriented, and proactive approach to sales and business development Deep understanding of the healthcare market or adjacent sectors with the ability to translate insights into strategy. Entrepreneurial mindset with the initiative to identify and pursue opportunities independently. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. Collaborative and able to work with a wide spectrum of personalities. Comfortable in both leader and team-based roles Technical and Creative writing skills Proficiency with Microsoft products PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and CRM Software Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Education/Experience
Professional expertise demonstrated through 7+ years of proven ability to drive results that meet revenue and profitability goals through successful lead generation/follow-through, market research, customer relations, pursuit development, and client management in the A/E/C industry Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in marketing, architecture/design, engineering, construction, or project management Travel
Position requires 10% out-of-town overnight travel Benefits
