Cook in Washington, DC (2nd Shift)
Join our dynamic team in the hospital's kitchen, where you will be responsible for cooking high-volume meals safely. Our kitchen operates on a cook/serve program, meaning all meals are prepared fresh rather than using frozen ingredients. Your role will include preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with handling prep work in between meals. Responsibilities: Prepare high-volume meals safely, following the cook/serve program. Measure and follow recipes accurately. Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals. Conduct prep work between meal services. Utilize grill cook techniques on open flat tops and deep fryers to prepare items such as eggs, burgers, hot dogs, and Philly Cheese Steaks. Essential Skills: 2+ years of experience in volume cooking. Proficient in measuring, recipe following, and cutting techniques. Strong customer service skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience in hotels, restaurants, or country clubs is a plus. Food Safe Serve Qualified/ServSafe Certification is preferred but not required. Why Work Here?
