Description
Position Summary:
The Development Associate role is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the Development and Administrative teams. This position plays a key part in donor database management, event planning and execution, and overall support of fundraising and communication initiatives. The ideal candidate will be organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable assisting with both front office duties and back-end development operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Front Office & Administrative Support: Answer and route phone calls and respond to in-person inquiries at the main office. Provide administrative support for daily operations and development functions. Maintain organized records of community inquiries and incoming communications. Donor & Fundraising Support:
Record and process donations in
Qgiv
and
Bloomerang
platforms. Maintain donor data and prepare timely acknowledgments and receipts. Assist with preparing donor communications and tracking outreach activities. Event Support:
Assist in planning, coordinating, staffing, and managing fundraising events. Help manage event campaigns and communications within
Qgiv
and
Bloomerang . Support day-of logistics, set-up, materials preparation, and follow-up reporting. Grants & Research:
Assist with researching prospective donors and corporate giving opportunities. Support the preparation and formatting of grant proposals and sponsorship materials. Communications Support:
Help develop customized outreach messages through Bloomerang communications tools. Maintain organized communication records and ensure accurate campaign tracking. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required , preferably in Communications, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, or a related field. 1-2 years of administrative or development support experience preferred. Familiarity with
Qgiv ,
Bloomerang , or similar donor CRM tools strongly preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic data entry. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. Comfortable supporting both behind-the-scenes development operations and front-facing office tasks. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds. Available full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
