Overview
A family with 3 children is seeking a full-time live-out nanny. They are open to relocating a nanny for this role and will help with relocation costs. The schedule is Monday through Friday starting at 8am every day. However, the end times may differ such as ending at 4:30pm/5pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays, ending at 7pm on Mondays and Thursdays, and ending at 3:30pm/4pm on Fridays. Overall, it till be 45-50 hours a week The two older children are in a Montessori program daily so they will be away for a few hours during the day. The children's ages are 4.5 (boy), 3 (boy), and 1-years-old (girl). The role starts as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
School/activity pick-up and drop-off (family has a van for the nanny to use while working)
Preparing snacks and lunches for the children; the Mother generally does breakfast and dinner
Maintaining and organizing the children's schedules (gymnastics, swim lessons, playdates, appointments etc.)
Children's laundry (they have a laundress who washes sheets and towels, but the nanny will likely need to make the beds with the clean sheets weekly)
Rotating through toys as the children age out of them and sanitizing the toys
They have a House Manager who rotates through the children's clothing
Traveling with the family. They have a home in Miami and the nanny will stay in their own apartment near their home in Miami; they will likely be in Miami for 4 days-2 weeks at a time. They also spend time in the Hamptons during the summer and travel to London, France, etc. as well. Most trips are up to 2 weeks at a time, but please be flexible with timing as there may be a trip in the future to Europe for 6 weeks. The working schedule will generally remain the same when traveling with some later start times/end times as needed in New York. Weekends can be off when traveling and the nanny can fly home on weekends when not working when the family is in Miami or the Hamptons; the cost of flying in and out on the weekends may be up for the nanny to cover
Getting the children outside especially in warmer months; getting fresh air and the children being active is important for the family
Taking them to the country club for swimming and activities
Overseeing their naps
There is 1 small hypoallergenic dog in the home so must be comfortable around dogs
Coordinating age-appropriate activities to develop motor skills
Taking the children to the park especially in the mornings when weather permits
Requirements
Energetic and able to keep the children engaged in activities
Enthusiastic about travelling with the family
Able to work closely with the Mother with planning out schedules and maintaining balance for the family
A Childhood Development or Psychology degree would be a bonus
A second language spoken would be a bonus (French, Spanish, etc.)
Someone who will follow the parent's lead with discipline and dealing with big feelings. The parents utilize gentle parenting techniques; gentle parenting is an approach to raising children that prioritizes connection, empathy, respect, validation, and positive discipline.
Salary and Benefits
$115-125k annual compensation DOE
Bonus around the holidays depending on job performance
Major holidays off, insurance stipend, 2 weeks PTO
