Overview

We are seeking a results-driven

Plant Controller

to lead financial operations at a manufacturing facility. This role supports strategic decision-making, ensures financial accuracy, and partners with operational leaders to drive performance. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, has a strong grasp of cost accounting, and brings a proactive mindset to process improvement and compliance. Base pay range:

$110,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr Responsibilities Promote and uphold all workplace safety programs and protocols. Prepare and deliver timely and accurate monthly financial statements in compliance with GAAP. Provide financial insights and reporting to plant and corporate leadership teams. Track and report on the progress and status of capital investment projects. Assist in evaluating and justifying major capital expenditures. Develop annual budgets and forecasts; monitor and analyze variances throughout the year. Maintain and review standard overhead and labor rates to ensure accurate cost accounting. Lead and support physical inventory processes, including planning and execution. Coordinate efforts for annual external audits, ensuring all requirements are met. Contribute to corporate insurance renewal processes as needed. Complete ad hoc financial and operational analysis projects as assigned. Design and implement metrics to monitor operational performance and efficiency. Strengthen financial decision-making through development and enforcement of policies and controls. Safeguard company assets through robust internal control systems. Support and mentor finance team members, including participation in hiring, training, coaching, and performance management. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure financial goals and initiatives are achieved.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA certification is a plus, but not required with relevant experience. 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and financial reporting. Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in financial modeling and analysis. Experience with ERP systems. Knowledge of percentage-of-completion accounting preferred.
