Position Description:
Builds, deploys, and maintains scalable applications using cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services (AWS)) and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes) to automate infrastructure management, scale applications on demand, and optimize resource utilization in cloud environments. Applies practices across the squad in areas such as Unit testing, Automation, ATDD, DevOps, CI/CD, design, and code reviews. Builds and maintains robust, scalable web applications using Angular (RXJS), Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services, Oracle SQL, and PLSQL. Ensures the entire application (from the backend APIs to the frontend UI) is rested, robust, and reliable using Karate and Cypress. Provides business solutions by developing complex software applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts. Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms. Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives. Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation. Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives. Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems. Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project. Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, and implementing highly scalable, secure, and Cloud ready enterprise Web applications in a financial services environment.
Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, and implementing highly scalable, secure, and Cloud ready enterprise Web applications in a financial services environment.

Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") building and optimizing data pipelines for Profit and Loss Calculations, dividend and coupon payments, convertible bonds pricing, arbitrage strategies, and volatility parameter management by processing hundreds of thousands of records using MyBatis, Graph API, Snowflake, and caching techniques (Ehcache and AWS ElastiCache). DE building scalable microservices and secure RESTful APIs using OAuth, Java, and Spring Boot; and implementing event-driven architectures and automated backend testing using Karate. DE creating responsive single page applications using Angular, RxJS, and NgRx; and ensuring overall front-end functionality using Storybook (for component testing) and Cypress (for end-to-end testing). DE performing container orchestration using Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service; maintaining and securing APIs using API Gateway; and creating isolated local environments for development and testing using Docker.
