Overview
CrowdStrike is seeking a Software Engineer (C++) for the Exposure Management product group. This role focuses on the Falcon Host sensor (a lightweight agent on Windows/Linux/macOS) that observes system activity, detects malicious behavior, and provides on-box prevention and remote telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud. The cloud component aggregates sensor telemetry, correlates activity across machines, and presents a prioritized threat summary to customer operations teams. This is a Software Development Engineer (SDE) role in the engineering team that delivers the sensor for Windows, Linux, and macOS. SDEs own design and development of features for the Exposure Management product group. Features may cross-cut core OS subsystems and are often shared across Windows, Mac and Linux. The team operates under Agile development principles and ships frequently. Responsibilities
Lead Engineering efforts and work with Product Management where applicable to define the scope of work Demonstrate ownership, accountability and collaborate with cross-functional teams across Product Groups that are geographically distributed Design and develop user-mode software for deployment on Windows systems Own features from design to delivery Collaborate with multi-functional teams in various locations Troubleshoot issues with the product as reported by customers Develop software for products as assigned (Falcon Discover, and more) Qualifications
Proficient in C++ development for Windows with demonstrated capability through work experience or community contributions Experience delivering major features and releases as part of a team Strong communication and collaboration skills in a distributed team Understanding of networking fundamentals Mac and Linux OS development experience is a plus Experience building cybersecurity-related products is a plus Experience developing product code with high concurrency and multi-threading requirements and high reliability Benefits
