Overview

We are seeking a Manager or Senior Manager who excels in critical thinking, operational optimization, and data-driven decision-making to support the Marketing Planning & Strategy team. This role is key to operationalizing and driving end-to-end processes related to workforce planning, location strategy, and position management across the marketing organization. The ideal candidate is skilled at managing large and complex datasets, collaborating across teams, and adapting quickly to evolving systems and tools. They will bridge strategic business needs with real-time execution by streamlining manual processes into scalable, automated workflows. Location: San Francisco, CA. Responsibilities

Headcount Management:

Guide and manage headcount against the hiring plans for a +2,000 person organization Headcount Management:

Track hiring progress and ensure quarterly budget targets are met Headcount Management:

Hold functional teams accountable to hiring plans and KPIs through structured reporting and governance Headcount Reporting and Analytics:

Build dashboards and automation using Tableau to streamline reporting Headcount Reporting and Analytics:

Lead the quarterly audit of headcount data for accuracy in the system of record; Ensure consistency in workforce data across teams Headcount Reporting and Analytics:

Implement standard processes to maintain workforce and headcount data in a scalable way Workforce Location Strategy:

Ensure day-to-day position requests aligns with long-range goals and actively track progress against workforce targets Workforce Location Strategy:

Work with the Employee Success teams to ensure marketing is aligned with future location strategy goals Governance and Enablement:

Define and update processes for headcount governance and workforce planning Governance and Enablement:

Provide training, enablement, and documentation for business stakeholders as needed Business Partnering:

Work closely with business partners within marketing and across the wider organization to guide decision-making; effectively collaborate and communicate across matrix organizations Required Skills And Experience

6+ years of experience in Finance, Analytics, Business Operations, or a related field Highly proficient in Excel and Google Sheets; experience managing scalable databases preferred Strong analytical mindset with the ability to manage and interpret large data sets Detail-oriented, adaptable, and proactive in identifying and solving problems Motivated, proactive self-starter able to work independently Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to work and collaborate with worldwide teams Experience with tools like Tableau, Slack, Workday is a plus For roles in San Francisco and Los Angeles: Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance and the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring, Salesforce will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
