Territory Manager, Mass Spectrometry - New Jersey

The Territory Manager, Mass Spectrometry role for SCIEX covers pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical accounts in New Jersey. The position reports to the Sales Manager within a highly dynamic team of Territory Managers and partners with colleagues and the Advanced Workflow Specialist. Responsibilities Meet and exceed assigned sales targets and forecast monthly and quarterly; act as the subject matter authority on analytical workflows (LC-MS/MS, chromatography) and provide Mass Spectrometry sales expertise regarding market, applications, and competition. Use sales tools and CRM to manage the funnel and achieve business results; demonstrate knowledge of sales principles and methods for presenting and selling products or services. Understand our product portfolio and be able to explain technical products and service information; communicate our value proposition to customers based on their needs and interests. Work in a team selling environment to navigate complex sales situations across multiple functions (Applications Support, Field Service, Product Demonstration, Product Management, Market Development Managers). Use standard account planning tools to guide work and grow the prospect funnel.

Essential requirements

Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Life Sciences or a related field. Direct scientific capital equipment sales experience is highly desired; candidates with inside sales, field sales, laboratory, or other relevant experience will be considered if highly qualified in LC-MS/MS. Three years of sales experience preferred. Must live within the assigned territory with the ability to travel within the territory and work remotely from a home office.

Travel and environment

Ability to travel 75% within the state of New Jersey. Must have a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred qualifications

Demonstrates strong initiative and willingness to take ownership for results, with outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills. Be a team player that can bring different departments together for optimal results. Able to build strong relationships internally and externally. Have extensive experience selling to or working within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical laboratory space.

Compensation and benefits

The annual salary range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000. This range is provided in good faith at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. This position is eligible for bonus/incentive pay. SCIEX offers a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan to eligible employees. This position is eligible for a remote work arrangement; additional information will be provided by your interview team. Notes
