The ServiceNow Developer I will be responsible for core system configuration and application support within Incident Management, Change Management, Problem, Asset Management, CMDB Management, Service Catalog, HR, and Problem Management modules. This includes gathering and documenting user functional requirements, process requirements, developing technical requirements, and then coding ServiceNow according to business or technical requirements. The junior ServiceNow developer will work closely with business and IT teams to gather input to support ongoing business needs. What youll do
Configure/Code ServiceNow applications based on business requirements to facilitate rollout of new functionality, interfaces, modules, and other items such as UI and workflow configuration. Collaborate effectively with other ServiceNow administrators/developers to develop solutions and handle updates and configuration changes/requests. Hands-on experience in ServiceNow scripting (Client Scripts, UI Policy, Business Rules, Script Include, Script Action, UI Actions, Workflow, Catalog Item, UI Script, ACLs). Ensure the latest release of ServiceNow is implemented in a timely manner with minimal disruption to IT operations. Knowledge of REST API, SOAP Web Services, Scripted Web Services, and Direct Web Services. Ensure application configuration consistency across development, test, and production environments. Participate in ongoing production support and end-user support. Experience in cloning, patch upgrades, and release upgrades. Experience in all ITSM modules Incident, Change, Problem, and Request. Experience addressing production issues such as log debugging, notification issues, user administration, and integrations. Knowledge about update set deployment for production releases. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience with ServiceNow. Developer experience in ServiceNow (JavaScript knowledge required). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fundamental understanding of ITSM, ITIL or CMDB, and Service Catalog. Experience with Web technologies (Web Services, XML, Ajax, HTML, CSS). Experience working with CMDB (Configuration Management Database). Ability to translate business problems into software and technical requirements. Experience with Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, HTTP). Exposure to component integration (SSO, LDAP, etc.). Experience in Application UI and Workflow Configuration. Working knowledge of Perl/Python/JavaScript is desired. Perks
