Feldkamp Mechanical in Cincinnati, OH is looking for a proactive and results-driven Recruiter/HR Generalist to join our growing team. This position is primarily focused on full-cycle recruiting for the construction industry —from sourcing and attracting talent to hiring and onboarding new employees. While the core responsibility is recruitment (about 90% of the role), this individual will also partner with the Divisional HR Manager to support select HR generalist functions and ensure a positive employee experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about recruiting, excels at building pipelines, and brings a high level of ownership to delivering top talent across multiple functions and locations. Key Responsibilities – Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus) Own and manage the full-cycle construction recruitment process: sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management, and onboarding
Develop creative sourcing strategies and utilize platforms such as LinkedIn, job boards, and industry networks
Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, define job requirements, and shape candidate profiles
Write and post compelling job ads across various channels to attract diverse talent
Maintain and optimize our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and talent database for visibility and pipeline tracking
Facilitate a seamless candidate experience through timely communication, interview scheduling, and feedback loops
Conduct reference checks and manage offer letters, pre-employment screenings, and onboarding documentation
Represent the company at career fairs, networking events, and recruiting meetups as needed
Secondary Responsibilities – Generalist Support (in collaboration with Divisional HR Manager) Assist in onboarding processes, including new hire orientations and employee setup
Support performance review processes and training coordination
Help maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies
Provide occasional backup on employee relations, benefits questions, or compliance matters as directed
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field
2–5 years of experience with full-cycle recruiting in a fast-paced environment
Strong working knowledge of ATS platforms and sourcing tools
Experience collaborating with hiring managers and influencing hiring decisions
Generalist knowledge of onboarding, employee documentation, and HR processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
Preferred Qualifications HR certifications (SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.)
Experience recruiting for a variety of roles across different functions or industries
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
Ability to manage competing priorities with a sense of urgency
Flexibility to travel to career fairs or attend occasional in-person networking events
