Senior Analyst, IT Product Construction
reporting to the
Director, IT Product Construction . This position will work on-site in Miramar, Florida. Position Summary: The
Senior Analyst, IT Product Construction, Destination Design
coordinates design requirements and specifications for IT Construction projects for Royal Caribbean Group’s Destination Product. The Senior Analyst in IT for Product Design bridges technology, design, and business requirements to ensure alignment with business goals, user needs, and technical feasibility while helping optimize the design process, build out scope/requirements, and establish budgetary costs for the execution team. They assist in evaluating changing scope and aligning project design requirements with the IT and construction disciplines within Royal Caribbean. The role supports IT strategies and initiatives that align with business objectives and assists the execution team with project documentation, industry research, reporting/analytics, performance monitoring, project logistics, testing, and coordination of site capability requirements. The role works with product teams to ensure clear understanding of product objectives and priority, helping IT translate product concepts into user stories, epics and other design deliverables (e.g., project briefs, scope/requirement documents, guest prioritized needs, infrastructure development, etc.). Key Responsibilities
Technical Analysis and Support: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and architects to analyze technical feasibility of product designs and features; evaluate system requirements, identify risks, and propose solutions; act as a subject matter expert for IT systems and digital tools used in product design. Data-Driven Decision-Making: Utilize analytics tools to gather and interpret user data to inform product design decisions; provide insights into user behavior, system performance, and feature adoption; monitor KPIs and recommend changes to meet design objectives. Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between IT teams and design teams to align on timelines, requirements, and deliverables; communicate technical constraints to non-technical stakeholders; support cross-functional workshops and design reviews. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the product development lifecycle through automation, tools, or methodologies; establish best practices for integrating IT and design processes; support Agile methodologies for rapid prototyping and iteration. Technical Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system workflows, technical specifications, and data models; generate reports to track progress and identify improvement areas. Qualifications And Education
Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in IT or hospitality industry; experience with technical, user, and business issues in a fast-paced hospitality organization; strong verbal and written communication and project leadership skills, including ability to communicate at an executive level. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Skills And Abilities
3+ years of product management preferred. Strategic thinking with ability to drive ideas into action; positive initiative. Experience in fast-paced online environments; ability to create key requirements and project artifacts; strong communication and analytical skills; ability to influence at an executive level. Experience executing heavy IT infrastructure projects in a construction environment; support for Product integration within Royal Caribbean Group sites; collaboration with Product teams, Site Architects, and Construction partners to document delivery goals and execution strategies. Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications preferred. Working Conditions
The work environment includes inside/outside office work, travel to other offices (domestic and international), and work in shipboard functions. A high noise level is possible at shipboard or offsite locations. International travel of approximately 30% may be required; field work may involve shipyards, ships, or new destinations with construction site conditions including noise, dust, fumes, and variable temperatures. Financial/Quantitive Responsibilities
Create estimates for programs/projects under supervision of Manager; ensure program/project budgets are utilized to achieve stated scope and benefits. Understand accounting rules for expense and capital activities; manage resources to optimize delivery; ensure compliance with IT policies and standards. Define optimization opportunities to reduce future costs; allocate resources (personnel, budget, equipment) to optimize project delivery; monitor and control project expenses. Maintain IT strategies and initiatives aligned with business objectives. Power Skills
