Job Summary:
A Tax Manager collaborates closely with partners, staff, and clients to plan, manage, review, and complete client engagements. They provide proactive tax savings advice, work on attracting and cultivating client relationships, and serve as a key contact for designated clients. Their goal is to help clients minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with evolving tax laws. Services include consulting on stock options, international tax, investments, mergers, reorganizations, and liquidations. Responsibilities:
Manage and review complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts. Understand client needs, identify tax issues, and communicate solutions effectively. Lead tax engagements from planning to delivery, including budgeting and fee monitoring. Develop strong client relationships through exceptional service. Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns, meeting all deadlines. Review team work, providing constructive feedback for quality assurance. Interpret complex tax laws and regulations with strong analytical skills. Maintain extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations. Manage multiple engagements and deadlines effectively. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting. Active CPA license. 5+ years of Passthrough Tax experience in public accounting. Expertise in tax compliance and consulting for passthrough entities, including partnership and S corporation returns (Form 1065, 1120S). Experience with multi-state filings and nexus considerations. Proficiency with tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess) and Microsoft Office. Ability to develop tax planning strategies. Experience supervising and developing staff. Additional Details:
