Job Summary:
A Tax Manager works closely with partners, staff, and clients to plan, manage, review, and complete client engagements. They provide proactive tax savings and profitability suggestions, attract new clients, cultivate relationships, and serve as a key contact for designated clients. Our professionals aim to help clients minimize tax liability while staying compliant with changing laws. We offer consulting and compliance services, including stock option planning and international tax advice, and guidance on tax implications of investments, mergers, reorganizations, and liquidations. Responsibilities:
Manage and review complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts. Understand client needs, identify tax issues, and articulate relevant issues and conclusions clearly. Lead tax engagements from planning to delivery, including budgeting and monitoring fees. Develop strong client relationships through exceptional service. Ensure timely, accurate filing of tax returns meeting all deadlines. Review team work, providing constructive feedback for quality assurance. Interpret complex tax laws with strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Maintain extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations. Manage multiple engagements and deadlines efficiently. Requirements:
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting. Active CPA license. 5+ years of Passthrough Tax experience in public accounting. Experience with tax compliance and consulting for passthrough entities. Proficiency in preparing and reviewing partnership and S-corp returns (Form 1065, 1120S). Experience with multi-state filings and nexus considerations. Proven ability to oversee complex client engagements and deliver high-quality service. Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess) and Microsoft Office. Ability to develop tax planning strategies. Experience supervising and developing staff. Additional Details:
