Shannon Miller Insurance Agency is an insurance broker agency, based in San Antonio, Texas that specializes in providing insurance services to individuals, families, and businesses. Our mission is to provide personalized service and expert advice to our clients. We believe in building long-lasting relationships with our clients based on trust and integrity.
This is a full-time role for a Licensed Customer Service Representative. We are open to on-site, remote, or hybrid positions.
Responsibilities
- Answer inbound sales calls and conduct outbound follow-up calls as needed
- Actively listen to identify customer questions and needs
- Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options
- Establish and/or enhance customer relationships with our agency through informed responses regarding our product and service, policy status, and great customer service
- Have the flexibility to rapidly adapt to new processes
- Maintain all current licensing, agency, and carrier compliance requirements
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients via phone, email, and in-person interactions
- Document customer interaction and update information as needed on the database
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer issues and ensure customer satisfaction
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge to effectively address customer inquiries
- Handle escalated customer complaints with empathy and problem-solving skills
Requirements
- Must have a valid property & casualty insurance license in the state of Texas
- Must have at least 2 years experience in customer support within the Personal Lines Insurance Industry
- High School diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be comfortable with technology and have basic computer skills
- Familiarity with insurance products and services is a plus
- Customer Service Representatives, Customer Support, and Customer Service skills
- Ability to create a positive customer experience
- Ability to handle difficult customers and resolve complaints
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
- Genuine interest in being of service to others in order to market products and services based on customer needs
- Appropriate sense of empathy to handle varying customer interactions
- Detailed oriented balanced with a big picture understanding
- Proactive in problem solving
