Summary
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for processing correspondence for the department and scheduling meetings for the Medical Director. They act independently to perform and oversee functions that provide administrative support to various departments, establishing cooperative relationships with staff, physicians, and administration to facilitate timely, high-quality work completion. The role also involves creating a positive office image by responding professionally to patients, staff, and customers, as well as managing basic office operations to support the daily flow of the practice.
Responsibilities
The Administrative Assistant supports the Medical Director's operations by managing calendars, professional correspondence, and messages; ordering supplies; handling facilities requests; answering telephones courteously; drafting responses; preparing invoice payments; opening and reviewing mail; and preparing for meetings, including ordering lunches, stocking drinks, and operating AV/WebEx equipment.
Requirements
Education and Work Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year experience, preferably in a medical office setting

- Certification Requirements: CPR (preferred)
