Our client is a mission-driven non-profit organization seeking short-term administrative support while they conduct a search for a permanent team member. This role offers the opportunity to make an impact by supporting leadership and donor relations in a professional, fast-paced environment.

Job Description:

We are hiring a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide temporary coverage. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, polished communication, and experience supporting senior leaders. This position is hybrid, requiring four days in-office each week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, donors, and incoming calls
  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate occasional local travel
  • Prepare and edit PowerPoint presentations and donor materials
  • Support reporting and mailings by maintaining data in Excel
  • Assist with meetings, events, and general office support as needed
  • Handle correspondence and mail distribution

Qualifications

  • 4–7 years of administrative experience, preferably in non-profit, education, or related industries
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Office 365)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with professional etiquette
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities
  • Temporary assignment: 30–60 days
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm (35-hour work week, 1-hour unpaid lunch)
  • Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite in San Francisco office
