Overview

Corning Incorporated is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide executive administrative support to the Division Vice President, CTO Operations within the Technology Community. The role supports high-level leaders, coordinates calendars and meetings, manages travel and expenses, and handles sensitive communications.

Responsibilities

  • Handles details of items that are critical in nature on a daily basis
  • Interfaces with internal and external executive leadership on sensitive matters
  • Ensure office coverage and flexible support to accommodate business hours and after-hours needs
  • Interface directly with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Corporate Officers and their executive assistants
  • Proactively collects and prepares information for use in discussions/meetings for executives, internal and external individuals, and customer meetings
  • Manage calendars for team members and schedule meetings
  • Coordinate logistics for internal meetings and external events, including booking conference rooms, venues, and catering
  • Manage and process expense reports using Concur
  • Manage travel arrangements (domestic and international) and proactively stay ahead of changes; manage travel documents as required
  • Initiate and manage purchase order processes and procedures
  • Provide administrative backup support for CTO Executive Admin and others within the organization

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in Administrative Assistant roles
  • Communication Expert: Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the corporation. Strong organizational and administrative skills, attention to detail, follow-up to ensure tasks are complete. Exercises high level of discretion, integrity and confidentiality
  • Strategic Specialist: Motivated, self-starter, detail oriented and anticipates executive’s needs. Decision making/problem solving skills and balanced judgment while maintaining professional demeanor
  • Skilled Manager: Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, flexible, and effective in a fast-paced environment
  • Technology Leader: Stays current on trends and is willing to adapt to new technology and processes. Strong computer/technology skills
  • Professionalism: Presence, maturity, and appearance. Accessible, dependable and reliable

The salary range for this position is $60,570.00 - $83,285.00 (full-time). Starting pay is determined by location, experience, training and education. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, pension, life insurance, disability benefits, and PTO, and are based on hours worked.
