Description
We are seeking a full-time motivated and organized Administrative Assistant to provide support to our staff and manage a variety of administrative tasks. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively. We prefer candidates who have some administrative support experience, but we are willing to train the right person. Salary will be based on experience. Employment for this role will open in October of 2025.
Requirements
- Welcome and greet parishioners and office guests.
- Assist the office manager and pastor as needed.
- Answer phones, direct calls, and provide general office support.
- Coordinate funerals: Prepare readings, arrange for Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Funeral Home prayers, contact music director, and bereavement committee. Serve as liaison between Priest and Funeral Homes.
- Monitor and maintain office equipment and supplies.
- Keep Mass Intention book.
- Work with the Social Media person on changes and updates.
- Send all parish announcements related to the entire parish.
- Assist lay-led groups like ACTS, the Prison Retreats, etc. that are directed by nonstaff members.
- Assist in preparing quarterly minister's schedule.
- Create weekly bulletin information from the parish and diocesan activities in publisher form.
- Create and update information for electronic church sign.
