Hawaii Residency Programs, Inc. (www.hawaiiresidency.org) is an independent, not-for-profit corporation that provides administrative support for medical residency programs and employs the physicians-in-training.

Job Summary

Under general direction and light supervision, provides combined administrative support to the General Psychiatry Residency Program and its administration.

Responsibilities

  • Resource Management — managing Learning Resource Center (LRC) library collections, manage resident memberships, assist program with reviewing and updating website content and media, other duties as needed
  • Education & Training — maintain information for verifications and graduate database, track resident compliance, assist with orientation and other resident events, assist in program evaluations, other duties as needed
  • Update administrative calendar and manual at least quarterly
  • Assist Program Administrator in maintaining and documenting Program administrative procedures
  • Maintain resident and Alumni files onsite/offsite
  • Maintain training files for residents and fellows
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred

  • Related Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 3 years of administrative or equivalent experience
  • At least 1 year of Graduate Medical Education (GME) experience
  • At least 2 years of administrative experience in the Academic and/or Health Care setting

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic knowledge of SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Must be able to work with web-based applications, learn and adapt to educational software (e.g., New Innovations, ACGME ADS, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple and sometimes changing deadlines and priorities
  • Ethical, professional, courteous, resourceful, and proactive behavior
  • Ability to be a team player, flexible, and work under pressure
  • Access to transportation to attend occasional off-site meetings

Details

  • SALARY: $23.64/hour, 24 hours per week
  • Part-time, Honolulu, HI – schedule determined by the needs of the Program and at the discretion of the Program Administrator. Indoor, office-based environment.
