Data Analyst 80% + Scrum Master 20% Hybrid role: Job Description: We are seeking a versatile professional to fill a dual-role position as a Data Analyst & Scrum Master within our asset management team. The ideal candidate will spend 80% of their time focusing on data analysis and 20% on Scrum Master responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Analyst (80%): Data Analysis: Analyze financial data related to asset management, including performance metrics, market trends, and investment strategies.
- Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide insights for investment decisions.
- Data Management: Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across various data sources.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and quantify risks associated with assets and portfolios.
- Collaboration: Work closely with portfolio managers and analysts to support data-driven decision-making.
- Documentation: Create detailed documentation of data analysis processes, methodologies, and findings to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
- Scrum Master (20%): Facilitation: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure agile practices are followed and Jira knowledge is strong.
- Support and Coaching: Assist the team in clearing obstacles and provide guidance on Scrum principles.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between the development team and stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and communication of project goals and progress.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of Scrum processes, team decisions, sprint goals, and progress to ensure clarity and accountability.
- Experienced Technical Data Analyst (Agile/Jira Knowledge a Plus): Data Analysis: Analyze financial data related to asset management, including performance metrics, market trends, and investment strategies.
- Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide insights for investment decisions.
- Data Management: Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across various data sources.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and quantify risks associated with assets and portfolios.
- Collaboration: Work closely with portfolio managers and analysts to support data-driven decision-making.
- Documentation: Create detailed documentation of data analysis processes, methodologies, and findings to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
- Release Management: Created release notes and associated documentation in collaboration with other team members.
- Provide insightful optimization recommendations and insights.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Would prefer someone local to Irvine, CA, to work with the client 3-4 days/week.
- PST time zone (remote/hybrid - travel on an as needed basis).
- Financial services experience preferred: asset management.

Pay Rate Range: 71-89 USD hourly
