Primary Services is actively recruiting for an ETL/Data Support Analyst to support a large, well-established client in the energy industry. This role offers an excellent opportunity to leverage your experience in SQL development, application support, and reporting within a collaborative, technology-driven setting. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining application programs and data integration solutions that support business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, enhance, and support application programs within a team environment using various development tools.
  • Create and maintain reports using SQL Server Management Studio, Power BI, and SSRS.
  • Provide system support and monitoring, occasionally outside normal business hours.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and document detailed system requirements.
  • Develop new system functionality including custom code and packaged application configurations.
  • Ensure smooth transition from development to operations with appropriate procedures and monitoring tools.
  • Communicate project status, identify risks, and proactively resolve roadblocks.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to prioritize workload and adjust to changing demands.
  • Interface with IT application owners to provide technical solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement software and hardware configurations for optimal application performance.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices relevant to the business and IT environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience designing, developing, testing, and implementing ETL solutions; experience with SSIS preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years developing and implementing data integration solutions in SQL Server environments.
  • Proficient in writing stored procedures, T-SQL, functions, and SQL queries with report writing best practices.
  • Experience with SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT), SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, and Visual Studio or similar platforms.
  • At least 1 year experience with high-volume data exchange and transaction processing systems.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Understanding of ETL best practices.
  • Application configuration and manual testing experience, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Familiarity with relational database concepts is essential.

Additional assets:

  • Experience with C# and VB.net coding.
  • Knowledge of automation tools such as Control M.
  • Background in energy business systems, particularly retail energy, is a plus.
  • Strong technical documentation and troubleshooting skills.
