Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Healthcare Construction
Location: Austin, TX
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale healthcare construction projects in the Austin area. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of hospital and medical facility construction, with the ability to manage multi-phase projects valued at $50M+. This role requires strong leadership in budgeting, scheduling, client relations, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of healthcare construction projects from preconstruction to closeout
- Manage budgets, schedules, contracts, and subcontractor/vendor performance
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, codes, and infection control standards
- Lead project meetings with clients, architects, engineers, and consultants
- Monitor financial performance and prepare monthly reporting
- Oversee procurement of long-lead medical equipment and specialty systems
- Drive client satisfaction and maintain strong healthcare owner relationships
Qualifications:
- 10–15+ years of experience in construction project management
- At least 7 years managing large-scale healthcare projects ($50M+)
- Strong understanding of healthcare-specific codes, ICRA, and AHJ compliance
- Skilled in Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and financial tracking tools
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- OSHA 30; ASHE certification a plus
