Position Summary

The Accountant reports to the Director of Accounting Services and Reporting and performs financial duties using a broad knowledge of economic and financial information and an advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database applications. Responsibilities include monitoring University endowment and private scholarship funds, gift reconciliations, investment income calculations/distributions, endowment spending plan calculations, misclassified expense/revenue analysis, monthly Foundation bank reconciliations, Foundation financial statements, assisting in the preparation of University statements, and supporting the Director of Accounting Services, Controller, and Associate Vice President for Budget & Finance as needed. The Accountant 2 will also support the grants accountant with invoicing, reporting, and review tasks.
