Base pay range

$50,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Muskegon, MI

Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (Onsite)

Salary: $50,000$60,000 annually (based on experience)

Our client is a privately held, family-owned manufacturing company, with U.S. operations in Michigan, California, and Ohio. Though owned by a German parent, they operate independently in the U.S. and pride themselves on a warm, welcoming environment where employees are more than just numbers. With about 100 employees on site, the culture is open, friendly, and values-driven.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Receivable: Apply receipts, initiate ACH and wire payments as needed.
  • Month-End Close: Coordinate the close schedule, prepare and post journal entries (standard and manual).
  • General Ledger: Analyze and reconcile accounts.
  • Financial Analysis: Work extensively in Excel to analyze financial data and support business decision-making.

Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
  • Strong general ledger experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Solid understanding of GAAP
  • Proven ability to analyze financial data and spreadsheets

Nice To Have

  • Experience with Oracle EBS
  • Manufacturing industry experience
